Short Description Of The Team
The Advanced NeuroImage Quantification and Analytics (ANIQA) Team develops image processing and analysis techniques for basic and clinical neurosciences. The ANIQA research approach emphasizes both specific core technologies and collaborative application projects. The activities of the ANIQA are centered at the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, and the Neurosurgery Ward and Radiology Department at the Imam Khomeini Hospital in Tehran, with collaborators throughout Iran and the rest of the world. The ANIQA uses advanced computational methods to investigate and to solve algorithmic image computing problems in basic and applied neuroscience, as well as to design tools for subject-specific image analysis. Its mission is to advance the role of neuroimaging and image analysis in healthcare. In fact, ANIQA team is concerned with applications of advanced imaging and analysis tools to investigate the neural bases of brain disorders in various patient populations, and also is dedicated to pursuing structural and functional studies of the human brain using state-of-the-art techniques, contributing to the development of future brain imaging modalities, and disseminating knowledge about brain, mind, and imaging to both scientific and clinical communities.
