Maryam Noroozian (born July 19, 1962), is an Iranian neurologist, and expert in dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.[1] She is currently a professor of Neurology at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and the founder and director of Memory and Behavioral Neurology Division which was established for the first time in Iran in 2004.[2] She organized the First International Congress on Alzheimer’s disease in Iran in 2005 and was involved in the pilot study of 10/66 project of Alzheimer Disease International (ADI) in her country.
In addition she has been involved in development of residency program in Geriatric Medicine at TUMS in Iran since 2011 and conceptualization of “Elder Abuse and Undue Influence” by the presence in the Board of Directors of Iranian Legal Medicine Organization. Moreover she has recently established the Center of Excellence in Neurological and Cognitive Disorders in the Elderly (Yaadmaan).
