4th Intermediate MRI Course (pre-registration)

intermediate

Please Note:

  • Pre-registration for this course is now OPEN, (possible date: 17-20 Esfand).
  • The course registration fee shall be paid after confirmation of the date. Pre-registration is free.

In this four-day educational course, the practicing technologists will get acquainted with different pulse sequences and the techniques for improving and optimizing them for achieving the best images for patient-specific and anatomy-specific diagnoses. The “Spin-Echo” and “Gradient-Echo” pulse sequence families, their optimization, artifact reduction, and clinical applications in pelvis, abdomen, head and neck shall be further discussed. Moreover, the audience will be educated with different methods of water and fat suppression, contrast mechanism generation according to the pathology, motion artifact reduction, and K-space filling techniques.

Through MRI physics education in the intermediate level, the participants will be able to:

  • Know and appreciate the importance of the pulse sequence optimization and artifact reduction approaches for subject-specific applications
  • Understand different imaging methods like Parallel Imaging, Echo-Planar, Imaging, etc.
  • Recognize the suitable applications of pulse sequences for different scenarios

  • An overview on several k-space filling approaches
  • Echo-train imaging
  • Non-Fourier-Based Techniques
  • Artifact and Motion Correction
  • Spin- and Gradient-Echo Imaging
  • Water- and Fat-Suppression Methods
  • Parallel and Echo-Planar Imaging
  • Clinical Applications: Head, Neck, CNS, Abdomen and Pelvis
