This three-day educational course is designed to provide the practicing radiologists and technologists an intensive experience in the technique and the interpretation of MR imaging of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, knee, shoulder, ankle/foot and hip. The course is focused toward the radiologists responsible for interpretation of these often complex examinations and the technologists responsible for acquiring high-quality images. Through participation in this basic course and being trained a detailed review of the key findings, each attendee will develop a higher level of expertise and confidence in evaluating MR of these various joints.
The aim of this course is to convey in-depth knowledge about functional MR imaging (fMRI) and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), with a focus on clinical practice. These advanced MR neuroimaging techniques are increasingly applied to the study of the healthy and diseased human brain and provide information about the brain’s activity and its connections. The course will offer an overview of present methodologies, an update about functional anatomy and an overview of clinical as well as some research applications.
